But I Heard That They Are Selling In The Banks
On Wednesday, January 18,
2017, I went online to find out where the rumor was coming from.
To my surprise, some sites
actually carried the information. They said that you can buy it from...
- Skye bank
- Zenith bank
- Union bank
- First bank
To confirm, i went to
these banks. My findings? None of them are selling.
I even heard some people
saying that somebody they know at Owerri has bought from the bank. The question
i kept asking was, if she can buy from a bank in Owerri, how come we can’t buy
in Lagos.
When i inquired further, I
discovered that she was scammed.
So you need to be careful.
Avoid paying money into any bank account. JAMB will never ask you to pay money

How 2017/2018 JAMB From Will Be Bought
On, October 2016 Prof.
Ishaq Oloyede, Jamb Registrar announced that JAMB has scrapped scratch card. He
said it will now be online.
But I've Registered In A Business Center. Was I Scammed?
When you visit some business centers to ask about JAMB. They will give you a form to fill and charge you. The form may look like this...
It's not bad in itself. The
only problem is that they fail to explain things to you.
Things like...
1. JAMB form is filled
online. NOT on a paper.
2. The paper they give you is
from them. NOT JAMB.
3. They are collecting your
money and giving you their form to fill with hope that when the form starts selling,
they will buy and register you. The registration fee is their gain. So the
money you pay is form money + registration fee.
4. Nobody is sure how much
JAMB form will be until it comes out. What happens if the price of the form is
higher than what you paid? What happens if it's lower.
5. Small business centers and
cybercafes don't register JAMB. Only accredited CBT centers do. Business
centers and cafes are just middle men. They collect your details and invite
these centers to thumb print you. Then they fill out the rest.
The advantage for you is
it saves you the stress of locating and registering directly. And yes, it
can really be stressful. Imagine the crowd.
The disadvantage is that
when you go through middle men, the chances that something will go wrong
increases.
For example last year,
some business centers were accused of filling the wrong thing for candidates. Some
had mistakes in their names. Others in their location.
Some centers that couldn't
attract large enough applicant. As a result, they couldn't find a CBT center willing to work with
them.
There
are ways to mitigate these...
1. Work with a business
center you trust.
2. Keep in touch with this
center till your form is filled.
3. Make sure you are present
the day they will be filling your form. That way, you will see what they are
doing. If they make a mistake, you can correct them.
